Workgroup Technology Partners and it’s subsidiaries, WGTech and Insurance Automation Group (IAG), are SSAE16 SOC 2 Type II certified.
As cloud computing has become more prevalent, the implications of this certification are substantial.
Receiving this certification means that Workgroup Technology Partners complies with certain IT Principles which are important in providing quality service to its customers. These principles, which were evaluated during an independent audit for compliance, included: security, availability, data integrity and confidentiality. SOC 2 is both a technical audit and a requirement that comprehensive information security policies and procedures be written and followed. SOC (‘Service Organization Control’) reports were created by the AICPA in order to set compliance standards and keep pace with the rapid growth of cloud computing
Workgroup Technology Partners provides services thru its two business units: WGTech and Insurance Automation Group.
WGTech’s primary focus is to heighten efficiency and improve functionality through IT solutions developed to fit each individual business. Based in and serving Northern New England, WGTECH offers enterprise networking, data management, complex IT systems design and configuration, security and IT consulting.
Insurance Automation Group (IAG) develops complex and specialized Software solutions for several markets. IAG sells business processing automation applications for the Surety Bond marketplace, including agencies, brokers, and companies as well as health insurance claim recovery automation that automates various time-consuming and costly processes for businesses specializing in this market.
SOC II reports are personalized to the operations of each organization. The detailed report provides important information on how an organization provides IT support and services.
In addition to achieving SOC 2 Certification, Workgroup’s technical and professional staff spend several weeks per year in learning and understanding changes in their technology discipline and many are required to study and prepare for a variety of technical product certification levels. These certifications verify technical skills and enable each Workgroup division to provide best practice service to its customers.
