Surety Solution Technical Overview


iAutomate: Erlon Surety users need only a browser to use the system. Access is provided through a Secure Apache Web Server platform. Data is stored in a Microsoft SQL Database Server.

Customers may choose from several deployment options:
  • Insurance Automation Group hosted ASP: We host the entire solution, including hardware, software, storage, and applications, and manage and support the solutions and users remotely.
  • Customer-hosted ASP solution: We deliver the whole solution, including hardware, software, storage, and applications to our customer while managing and supporting the solution and users remotely.
  • Customer installed solution (perpetual software license): We deploy our solution on customer-provided hardware, software, and storage while managing and supporting the application, database, and users remotely.
Server Architecture
Two servers are typically used to create an iAutomate: Erlon Surety installation
  • Web Server - Windows 2003 or 2008 Server, Apache and Php running the iAutomate: Erlon Surety Web Server Software
  • Database Server - Windows 2003 or 2008 Server Microsoft SQL Server 2005 running the Erlon Surety Database
  • Smaller installations can run on a single server combining both web and database functions
  • Recommendations provided for system based on expected workload and data sizes
Security
  • Security is established in multiple layers around and within the system
  • SSL secured Web Site providing fully encrypted user sessions
  • Automatic account lockout after repeated failed attempts
  • Recommended security practices at network and firewall
Reliability and Availability
  • Designed to run on standard platforms with proven reliability and broad support
  • Works well in high availability environments such as VMWare VSphere
Server Sizing
  • Installations that support up to 20 iAutomate: Erlon Surety users can run on your choice of Windows hardware
  • Minimum recommended hardware for each server
  • Web / Application Server - 1 CPU, 1GB memory, 20GB disk space
  • SQL server - 1 CPU, 1GB memory, ~ 50 GB disk (depends on your data size)
