The Insurance Automation Group is a wholly owned subsidiary of Workgroup Technology Partners, a provider of advanced technology solutions and services. In 2000, a new division within Workgroup developed a product for insurance agencies that sell construction surety bonds. This product, called Erlon, quickly became the industry standard for automating the complex surety bond process, and has been designated as an Approved Vendor for eBonding by the NASBP/SAA, is an Applied ConneXion® Integrating Vendor, and an ACORD Solution Provider. In 2004, the division developed a solution called ABTS (Advanced Benefits Tracking System) for insurance agencies that sell benefits insurance to automate the process of managing benefit plans for multiple customers while calculating exact commissions. In 2005, Workgroup merged its software development subsidiaries to form The Insurance Automation Group, and branded all of its insurance automation solutions with the iAutomate name. The independent subsidiary focuses on developing software solutions to help insurance firms automate their most pressing, time-consuming, and costly challenges.
